The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), along with eight Nepali travel trade companies, successfully concluded its four-day participation at the International Travel Expo (ITE) Hong Kong 2026, held from June 11 to 14 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Nepal Pavilion served as the focal point of the country’s tourism promotion campaign, showcasing Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings to Hong Kong’s travel trade professionals and consumers. Visitors showed strong interest in Nepal’s adventure tourism, cultural heritage, nature-based experiences, pilgrimage tours, luxury travel, and wellness tourism, with wellness travel emerging as a particularly popular segment.
NTB Senior Officer Khem Raj Timalsena delivered a destination presentation at the expo, highlighting Nepal’s iconic destinations, rich cultural heritage, unique landscapes, and diverse tourism experiences. The promotional activities were further enhanced by a live cultural performance by Hong Kong-based Nepali artists, who presented traditional dances and musical performances, giving visitors an authentic glimpse of Nepal’s vibrant living heritage.
Throughout the event, participating Nepali travel companies engaged directly with travel professionals, potential business partners, and consumers, promoting a variety of customized tour packages and itineraries tailored to different market segments. The delegation received valuable support from the Consulate General of Nepal in Hong Kong.
The Nepal Tourism Board delegation was represented by Senior Officers Khem Raj Timalsena and Narayan Prasad Basyal.
The successful participation at ITE Hong Kong 2026 provided an important platform for strengthening Nepal’s tourism presence in the Hong Kong market and promoting the country as a leading destination for adventure, wellness, cultural, and nature based tourism.
