Himalaya Airlines to Start Direct Flights Between Kathmandu and Shenzhen
Himalaya Airlines has announced the launch of direct scheduled flights between Kathmandu and Shenzhen, China, starting from June 4, 2026.
With this new service, Himalaya Airlines becomes the first commercial airline to operate direct scheduled flights on the Kathmandu – Shenzhen – Kathmandu route, creating a convenient and efficient air connection between Nepal and one of China’s most important economic and technology centers.
The airline stated that the new route is expected to enhance tourism, trade, business travel, and cultural exchanges between Nepal and China. The direct flights are also anticipated to support Nepal’s tourism industry during the country’s lean travel season by attracting more Chinese visitors and facilitating easier travel for business travelers.
