The actual skydiving activity is operated by a professional skydiving team and is subject to weather, aircraft availability, safety requirements and the operator’s confirmed schedule.
Depending on the selected program, participants can experience tandem or solo skydiving in Pokhara. Tandem skydiving is particularly suitable for first-time participants, as you jump with a qualified tandem instructor who manages the parachute and technical aspects of the jump.
From the moment you leave the aircraft until your parachute opens, you will experience an unforgettable free fall above the Pokhara Valley. As you descend beneath the parachute, you can enjoy spectacular views of Phewa Lake, Pokhara city, green hills and the Himalayan panorama.
Pokhara is one of Nepal’s most popular adventure destinations, combining beautiful natural scenery with a wide choice of outdoor activities. The city lies close to the Annapurna region and offers views of some of the Himalayas’ most recognizable peaks, including Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
Skydiving adds another dimension to a visit to Pokhara. Instead of experiencing the mountains only from the ground, you can see the valley, lake and Himalayan landscape from the air.
Nepal Tourism Board also identifies Pokhara as a destination for skydiving, highlighting the Himalayan scenery and Phewa Lake as part of the experience.
Pokhara Skydiving Experience
Your skydiving adventure begins with transportation to the designated activity location. Before the jump, the professional skydiving team will provide a safety briefing and explain the jumping procedure.
After completing the required preparation, you will board the aircraft or helicopter used for the operation. The aircraft climbs to the planned jump altitude, which can vary according to the operator, aircraft, weather and operational conditions.
Once the jump is cleared, you will make your descent over the Pokhara area. Tandem participants are accompanied by an experienced tandem instructor throughout the jump.
The landing location and exact flight and jump arrangements are determined by the skydiving operator according to the day’s operating conditions.
Capture Your Skydiving Memories
Professional photographs and video recordings may be available as an optional service. If you would like to capture your experience, we can arrange the available photography or video package through the skydiving operator, subject to availability.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel.
After check-in, you can relax after your journey or explore the nearby area. If time permits, you may visit Thamel, the lively tourist district of Kathmandu.

Today, travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara by domestic flight or private vehicle, depending on your selected package.
A flight provides a quick connection to Pokhara, while travelling by road allows you to enjoy Nepal’s changing landscapes, rivers, villages and green hills along the way.
After arriving in Pokhara, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time around Lakeside and Phewa Lake.

Today is reserved for exploring Pokhara and preparing for your skydiving experience.
Depending on your schedule, you can visit Phewa Lake, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, the International Mountain Museum and other attractions.
Your skydiving operator will provide information about the confirmed jump schedule and any requirements you need to complete before the activity.
Overnight: Pokhara.
Your skydiving schedule will be confirmed by the professional skydiving operator according to weather conditions, aircraft availability and operational requirements.
On your confirmed jump day, you will travel to the designated skydiving location. After registration and the safety briefing, you will prepare for your jump.
For a tandem experience, you will be accompanied by a qualified tandem instructor. Once airborne and at the planned jump altitude, you will make your jump and experience the free fall before descending safely beneath the parachute.
After landing, you will return to your hotel and have the remainder of the day free.
Because skydiving depends on suitable weather and flying conditions, keeping one or more reserve days in your itinerary is recommended.

Published Pokhara aviation notices have previously listed skydiving operations from the Bamdi and Pame Lauruk area with take-off at around 13,000 ft AMSL, while current operators advertise different jump altitudes depending on the program.
For this reason, Adventure Trail Nepal does not present one fixed altitude or free-fall time as applicable to every Pokhara skydiving experience.

Yes. Tandem skydiving is designed for people without previous skydiving experience, subject to the operator’s age, weight, health and other requirements.
